TAI coalitions from nine Asian countries (Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Nepal, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Viet Nam and Yunnan province of China) jointly contributed to the production of a regional report to document environmental governance in Asia, where Thailand Environment Institute (TEI) served as the publishing team leader.

The report includes (a) country chapters, of which content was prepared from over 160 case studies carried out in the nine Asian countries using the TAI methodology, (b) executive summary, regional analysis chapters, and conclusion and recommendations, which were written by TEI.

This book is first of its kind in reviewing the current state of legal frameworks on environmental access rights (access to information, public participation, and access justice) as well as relevant capacity building in Asia.
