TAI s document Draft Zero Proposal is officially presented in Costa Rica and meeting is agreed to discuss the country´s position

CoopeSoliDar R.L. formally presented to Mr. Javier Diaz and Adriana Solano of the General Direction of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Costa Rica, the document: STRENGTHENING THE PRINCIPLE 10. TAI´s SECRETARIAT PROPOSAL TO THE ZERO DRAFT DOCUMENT +20 RIO. February 2012.

There was a positive reception to it and to the work being done along the Rio +20 preparatory process. For those who participate in the intersessional meeting in New York, Mr. Diaz will be the official representative of Costa Rica.

In this meeting, it was also discussed the request of the Government of Chile to solicit the support of governments to ask support to the ECLAC (The Economic Commission for Latin America) to begin a process towards a Regional Convention on access rights. The officials of the Ministry of FOREIGN Affairs of Costa Rica commented that there is support for this initiative by the Government of Costa Rica.

Finally, it was agreed to support a focus group to discuss the country´s position after the intersessional meeting.
