The mission of the Ecological Institute for Sustainable Development (est.: 1992) consists of the promotion of sustainable development, improvement of the ecological culture, education to global thinking, and – throughout all these – elaboration of the fundamentals of the realization of sustainable development in practice, promotion and awareness raising. The foundation is active on various levels (local, county, regional, national and international), works for achieving sustainable society through raising the awareness of decision-makers, non-governmental organizations and key persons, and also via influencing the approaches to sustainable development issues with theoretical, scientific, methodological and research activities.
