The Oikos - Cooperation and Development is a Non Governmental Organization for Development of Portugal, facing the world. So we work with communities in poorer regions and countries, regardless of their geographical location.

We believe, above all, a world without poverty and injustice where human development is equitable and sustainable local and global scale. From Emergency to Development, to the Education, Social Mobilization and Public Influence, the work of Oikos currently extends through Cuba, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Mozambique, Nicaragua, Peru and Portugal.
