Evento sobre “La Declaración del P10 para América Latina y El Caribe” se realizó en el marco de la reunión del Consejo Directivo del PNUMA en Nairobi, Kenia el pasado 21 de Febrero del 2013. El objetivo fue lograr que más gobiernos y organizaciones de la sociedad civil conocieran el proceso que se ha iniciado en esta región.

Participaron en el panel Julio Cordano de la Cancillería del Gobierno de Chile, Carole Excell del Instituto de Recursos Mundiales, Marcos Orellana de CIEL y Alejandro Rivera Becerra, Director de Gobernabilidad Ambiental de la Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores de México.

UNEP Governing Council, The Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) Declaration on Principle 10 side event: Nairobi, Kenya, February 21, 2013

This side event was held in Nairobi, Kenya at the UNEP Governing Council meeting on Thursday February 21st. The goal of the event was to build countries and civil society’s awareness of the adoption of a Principle 10 LAC Declaration at the Rio+20 conference in Brazil. Notable speakers included Mr. Julio Cordano, head of the Department of Sustainable Development Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Chile, Carole Excell from World Resources Institute, Marcos Orellana of CIEL and Alejandro Riveria, Director of Environmental Governance, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mexico.
