As part of activities related promoting public participation in environmental decission making, we have been encouraging public participation in climate change decission making. This is not only about decissions as to what happens within the country, but also decission on our country positions at the international negotiations. I just wish to share with you a brief report on one of our Climate Governance Activities. Please let us share any comments and ideas on the public participation discussion group on the TAI website.

Cambodia now faces new challenges and threats from climate change on its socioeconomic development as it is considered one of the most vulnerable countries in Southeast Asia given its limited adaptive capacity, poor infrastructure and the high vulnerability of key sectors to flood, drought and rule of events.

This project will strengthen the community institution to coordinate effective and sustainable response to threat of climate change. Build capacity local communities to adapt to climate change and mitigate impact on their livelihoods (Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation or EcoDRR). Particular focus on women participation in this process (Women Empowerment)
